VOTE NOWfor Virgin Atlantic's Goodie Bag / Amenity Kit (in all 3 categories) refurbished by MNH Sustainable Cabin Services - zero landfill before anyone knew what it meant!
The Onboard Hospitality Awards are one of the highlights of the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) which takes place in Hamburg each year and celebrates excellence and innovation in air, rail and cruise.
The new Virgin Atlantic 'Goodie Bags' are made from responsibly sourced and recyclable FSC kraft paper and designed to be durable for reuse. Sustainable inner items have been chosen to complement the paper bags, avoid unnecessary plastic packaging and limit single use. The innovative kit provides the essentials needed on a long-haul flight whilst minimising its environmental impact, with items including ear plugs packaged in paper, a bamboo toothbrush and paper pen, all intended for reuse.
Individual security seals are used as part of the wider refurbishment programme with MNH reusing or recycling over 500 tonnes of cabin waste each year for the airline, with nothing going to landfill.
For more information about Virgin Atlantic's new Goody Bags visit www.onboardhospitality.com and don't forget to vote for us click on 'time to vote'. You'll need to vote for one submission in each category for your voting to count (and subscribe to their database) - hurry voting closes on 1st February!
Finalists, chosen through these votes, will be announced in Onboard Hospitality March/April - the WTCE preview issue. Winners will be announced online and in Hamburg on Monday 30th March 2020.
