Onboard Hospitality Award Winner

Post pandemic, many of our airline clients are putting sustainability back at the top of their Agenda and are looking to implement more sustainable initiatives. MNH specialises in reducing financial and environmental wastage in airline service chains.

The whole life product focus enables MNH to deliver savings on total onboard product spend. Our airline clients also benefit from improved communication and visibility around stock levels, forecasting and budgeting with our Performance Management Platform, ROTIX®.

Over the past 25 years we have worked with our airline clients' Procurement, Product Development and Customer Experience Teams to help with the design and sourcing of cabin products and support them with our robust and well-established Product Recovery Programmes for example high value recyclables from Virgin Atlantics' cabin waste have been collected and sent to MNH since 1998, saving costs and waste! By working with our airline clients to manage the whole lifecycle of onboard products from cradle to grave, allows us to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The untouched goodies from Amenity Kits are collected and repurposed to make up new pristine kits. MNH looks for the best ‘end-of-life’ option for the remaining cabin waste, using stringent raw material segregation and recycling, as well as creatively sourcing alternative uses for bulk materials that do not fit traditional recycling waste streams. Our Amenity Kit Replenishment and Product Recovery Programmes are now award winning!

MNH ensures that after each flight products are reused, repaired or recycled to extend their useful life wherever possible, and at the end of life are recovered to make energy. Nothing goes to landfill.

MNH has helped our airline clients to reduce the total amount of cabin waste - together this was achieved through:

  • investing in reusable rather than disposable products
  • putting pristine unused products back into service
  • smarter loading of products, in line with our customer numbers and product use
  • optimisation of onboard procedures and reverse logistics to reduce consumption and maximise refurbishing rate
  • total visibility and control of costs, stock levels and forecasting, producing and delivering exactly what is needed to minimise waste
  • real-time data and management information reports supplied by our Performance Management Platform, ROTIX®

MNH has an extensive and established refurbishing supplier base in both Northern and Southern hemispheres which enables closed-loop solutions for our clients’ sustainability aspirations, full product lifecycles, as well as cost reduction benefits.
